Flying 1hr to DCA/RIC only to rent a car and drive 2hrs was unappealing, might as well just find a car and drive 6hrs which sounds miserable. Hotels weren't cheap. Weather was cherry on top to stay home

@cartman1 So now, I need to rent a car to make the additional 2hrs? And hotel rooms were absolutely that much money. I know, I checked. I tried to be there. And none of this matters because there were 8k fewer people there than were at the games last season. The proof is in the pudding.

For what it's worth, there is no doubt this number would have been a good amount higher if Charlottesville was remotely close to even a decent sized airport making flights costly, if hotel prices for this weekend hadn't been well over $1k, and the weather had been better.

Gary Gait on radio today said that 🍊🥍 will do drills on grass this week but not fully practice on it. Cited his trainers who told him it takes 2 weeks for legs to fully adjust from turf to grass, so they don't want to wear out their legs with full practices on grass.

It was - but the 3 hour ground sit from 12a-3a on a taxiway, only to end up on a hard stand getting bussed to customs - where global entry was not active and lines were backed up out the door was unacceptable. I mean, T5 was completely available but customs was closed so the place descended into chaos.

Pretty insane flight to get home from a quick vacation. Boarded B6 882 UVF-JFK at 3PM. Held for an hour, WX +TSRA divert to BWI. Land ~10PM 2.5 hours hard stand waiting for fuel. Midnight: depart BWI-JFK (hold again) land 00:45 It’s 2:30 AM, 11.5 hours in the seat, still no gate. Both engines shut down on taxiway. No food. No drinks. Hell basically. JFK is awful. B6 is bad. Not doing this again. 👎
