‼️Holy shit Jeremy Scahill presses Rep. Ro Khanna to say he supports the October 7 Massacre. Khanna: “It’s a scale of 1-10. You’re a 10, I’m saying let’s go 6, 7, 8.”

The last few months saw wins by Randy Villegas, Mai Vang, Angela Gonzales-Torres, Chris Rabb, Adam Hamawy, Analilia Mejia, Claire Valdez, Darializa Avila Chevalier, Brad Lander, Melat Kiros and yes, in a blowout, Graham Platner. You got Platner, but otherwise you’re getting wrecked this summer, despite burning through tens of millions of dollars.

Virtually every fish in one of Arizona’s largest lakes has died after the reservoir fell to less than 1% of its capacity. This spring, the mountain snow that feeds the reservoir reached just 2% of its normal level. With almost no inflow, the lake shrank dramatically, the water overheated, oxygen levels collapsed, and nearly 100% of the fish suffocated. But drought wasn’t the only reason. Even as the reservoir was collapsing, water continued flowing downstream to supply farms under agreements written decades ago, when a snowpack collapse this severe was considered unthinkable. The ecosystem kept losing water while the climate that sustained it had already changed. The rules were built for a world that no longer exists. Climate change isn’t only testing ecosystems. It’s testing the systems we built to manage them. Before and after: San Carlos Reservoir, Arizona (2023 vs. 2026). [Source: NASA Earth Observatory, June 2026.]

Delcy sends selfies to Marco Rubio and runs every decision by him, including her social media posts, cabinet appointments and TV appearances. In turn he sends her "crates of cash" and runs the Venezuelan government from Washington. A XXI century Colony. nytimes.com/2026/07/11/us/…

BREAKING: Trump notified Congress that the US is in a new war with Iran, and is able to wager battle for 60 days without congressional approval, per POLITICO

I am saddened to learn of the passing of my former colleague, Senator Lindsey Graham. He was full of wit, energy, and charm, and he cared deeply about the Senate and the people of South Carolina. Doug and I are sending our thoughts and our prayers to his friends and loved ones.

So I do wonder where this is all going. Progressives want to eliminate aid to Israel — sounds great, I've wanted that since before it was cool — but that's not going to end the conflict and what happens next? theargumentmag.com/p/it-really-is…
