Today, I was proud to recognize the 150th Anniversary of the first successful phone call and designate today as Alexander Graham Bell and @ATT Day in the City of Philadelphia! ☎️📞 For a little history lesson, it was right here in our city where the telephone was first publicly demonstrated during the Centennial World’s Fair, a moment that ultimately helped lead to the founding of @ATT And while phones today look a lot different than they did 150 years ago, one thing remains the same, they keep us connected. From pagers and payphones to flip phones, sidekicks, BlackBerry’s and now smartphones, so many of us remember spending hours on the phone talking and laughing with our friends, racing to answer the house phone, or getting that page.
