🚨‼️ VACnet strikes again. Some real cheaters got flagged, but again, so did streamers, legit players, even pros. Not even gonna get into how +turnleft / +turnright are now permaban triggers. How are we supposed to trust this system when false positives are this consistent, this public, and Valve stays silent? 2 months ago I asked the same thing: *“What happens now, Valve? Do you trust VACnet when it flags big names? Or do you roll VACnet updates back again like you did in the past bc a big name complains on Twitter? A system that bans silently has to stand behind those bans. It’s not a security system if public pressure decides who gets banned and who doesn’t. Either it works, or you’re just flipping coins with people’s careers.”

Steam Trade Reversals We’ve all seen the market move up today and the new Trade Reverse function is already being abused left and right. In my opinion, the approach markets take in China is far more balanced than what we see in the West. Western markets need new systems and better protection against abuse. Right now, this feature is mostly being used by smaller traders who dump their items during crashes to minimize losses but once the market recovers, they simply reverse the trade. They don’t care if they get banned; they’ll just make new accounts under friends or family names. When you buy those cheap items out of others’ fear, you’re taking on big risk. The market could still drop at any moment, no matter how solid your analysis looks. You’re taking on their risk and these same people are now reversing and taking advantage of you. The current system clearly isn’t sustainable. It needs a serious rework and I’m confident China will find a smarter solution first. This problem won’t disappear on its own.

People reversing don’t know how dumb they are 1. The market could go against them again, they have already panic sold and panic reversed in like 4 days, good luck the next 30 2. They are scamming 3. Scams in cs will go up as legit traders are pushed out, more scammers left
