To the Islamophobia Patients Who Attack Me Because I Converted from Christianity to Islam There is something I want to say to them. I was born in Korea in 1986, and in 2009, I left Christianity and entered Islam. Even after converting, I studied Islam for more than ten years while traveling through several Middle Eastern countries. I studied for my own sake, because I could not allow myself to believe in a false religion. So please be assured: Islam is indeed the religion of truth. I believe Islamophobia is not merely ignorance, but a kind of illness. I, too, had many strange prejudices about Islam when I was a Christian. But after breaking free from those prejudices, my health improved and my life changed. A life without Islam is not truly living. Even if I were offered hundreds of billions, I would never abandon Islam. I cannot even imagine a life without Islam.

I am a Korean Muslim. I was originally born into a Christian family, lived as a Christian, and graduated from a Christian-affiliated school. From childhood, I studied the Bible for many years and was exposed to the teachings of Christianity. However, as time passed, I came to recognize several theological problems within Christianity. There were considerable differences between what I understood from the Bible and what church pastors actually taught, and I also realized that there were passages within the Bible itself that were difficult to reconcile with one another. I also began to have serious questions about a religious structure in which the belief that God is One became obscured by human interpretation and church tradition, and in which Jesus was regarded and worshipped as a being equal to God. Through this process, I came to believe that if a religion is truly from God, it must teach people to believe in God purely as He truly is and to worship Him alone. The conclusion I reached was Islam. Islam teaches that God is absolutely One, that no equal or partner should be associated with Him, and that there is nothing worthy of worship except God. It also explains that the core message brought by all the prophets was to worship God alone. Through Islam, I finally came to understand pure Tawhid: true faith directed to God alone. That is why I became convinced that Islam is the true religion given by God to humanity, and I became a Muslim. Since entering Islam, I have never regretted it even once. Rather, the more I study, the stronger my certainty becomes that Islam is the truth. In this path of believing in God as One and worshipping Him alone, I feel deep contentment, peace, and true happiness. I would also like to sincerely speak to Christians. If you truly love God and seek the truth, I ask you to study Islam just once, without prejudice. Islam is not a strange foreign religion. It is the same message taught by Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and the final Prophet Muhammad: to worship the One God alone. Please think sincerely about what pure faith truly is — not according to human tradition or church interpretation, but according to what God Himself wants from us. I sincerely hope that you will find the truth and come to the path of worshipping God alone in the correct way.

The entire Eid prayer, from the moment the congregation stands up to the final tasleem, takes less than ten minutes. If our society can handle large political rallies, street carnivals, and infinite weekend parties where they block access roads for hours on end without you losing your minds, you can definitely survive ten minutes of a peaceful community prayer on an official public holiday. Drop the fake outrage and find something better to do with your day.
