@Mr_Raichura The main issue was that kids were so well trained to keep their hands down as part of cold calling! Took a lot of work to reverse the habit, and there's still some way to go. Praise and rewards were the most powerful tool in ensuring the hands went up.
Lots of teachers & leaders have reached out to me over the last year, wanting to implement:
✅ 'All hands up' rather than 'hands down' cold calling
✅ High frequency 'checks for listening'
