Obviously, the other side of this coin could be that he has already made up his mind to come back and doesn’t want to go through a 5-on-5 setting to risk injury, etc before returning. Most importantly…I know NOTHING and am just reading the tea leaves a little bit.

I will have to say that Malachi Moreno skipping 5-on-5 at the combine makes me nervous that he is very seriously considering staying in the draft. If it were solely a fact-finding mission you would play and receive your feedback. However, now he seems to be protecting his stock.

With Franck Kepnang’s commitment, Kentucky has two roster spots remaining. Milan Momcilovic is priority #1 for the Wildcats, but things won’t progress there until after the combine and team workouts. Kentucky has a good shot if he doesn’t get a top 35 guarantee. Expect Kentucky to keep the last spot open for a late add that’s not on the radar yet (I.e. Jelavic).

@AllUKBall_HPS I think this is a bad take by Roush, but I think it’s more on his delivery than what he actually said. Of course he should go pro if it’s best for him, the indictment on Pope is that next year depends on him being back, that he should have a winning roster with or without Moreno.

Of course the AD is everyone’s boss in an athletic department, but they don’t hover over head coaches and pick who is on each one’s staff. Crazy.

@thewholeshoe315 @Burke_Franklin_ This is correct. But even if a school has a solo GM they can’t do everything by themselves. They need compliance and NIL/sponsorship approval, like two of the four people listen on Pope’s GM team. He practically said the quiet part out loud every school in the country has a team.
