@SecondTake20 Exactly thank you. Most people in the national media who cover CBB are figuring it out. BBN needs to realize that

PSA to Kentucky fans. If you haven’t figured it out by now, Jeff Goodman continues to do stuff like this because he knows BBN will respond. More responses means more views. More views means more reach. More reach means more money. If you want to stop, you have to ignore it.

After hearing a few “Kentucky would’ve had them if they made them a priority” guys, here’s a team with a few of them… PG: Jeremiah Wilkinson SG: Caleb Holt SF: Kam Williams PF: Christian Collins C: Malachi Moreno Would you rather have that team or the current roster? #BBN

@ReturnOfTheCats you think he even leaves the draft though? Sounds like a guy to me that's willing to eat it in the second round if he gets a guaranteed contract.

@BlugrassBall I agree. These pieces don’t seem to really fit but they’ll still be good

Maybe it’s just bias, but I just don’t get what’s so good about this roster. Certainly not bad, but this isn’t even close to the Floridas and Dukes and Illinois and UConns of the world.

🚨 Louisville’s roster is starting to look complete 👀🔥 Size. Athleticism. Shooting. Depth. Pat Kelsey is building a roster that can compete with anybody in the country. How we feeling about this squad, Cards fans? 👀 #GoCards

@ReturnOfTheCats I think the pressure he’s received this offseason as well as a new boss being hired (who has no allegiance to hiring him) in the new AD will change his tune.

People gotta stop making excuses for Pope. I’ve never seen a coach need a GM more. GM’s build relationships with agents and help navigate the final steps of contracts. Kentucky got burned bc of a blindspot in that very area multiple times this spring. No reason to not have one.

@weedyjdub @Burke_Franklin_ AD’s don’t involve themselves with specific sport personnel or tell head coaches how to run their staff. They hire the head coach and expect them to build winning programs, if not, gone.

Worried about the answer to the GM question Feels to me like too many cooks in the kitchen situation and even Pope seemed to be confused by some of the description of the roles Hope it works out but wish it was one person leading the role

Per Synergy, Justin McBride rated in the 96th percentile last season of points per possession in Spot Up situations. He shot 25-55 (45.5%) from 3 as a Spot Up guy. His addition continues the trend of Coach Pope adding some analytically friendly shooting for those type of looks.

The next best’ available C according to NXN’s 2027 Top 100, and the last guy we’ll be talking about today. (#26) 4⭐️ Cherif Millogo. (CA) 7’4 210lb. Yes, 7’4. I mean the potential here is unreal. Very fluid jumpshot. I’m really impressed with how well he shoots the ball, I mean He’s hitting pull up 3’s in game. He has a Decent handle. The footwork isn’t advanced by any means but it’s good, i mean for 7’4 he’s able to put the ball on the floor and pivot through defenders in the paint. Of course he blocks everything. His hands are solid, Runs the floor well, as his conditioning improves, and he sharpens his tools, you could maybe see Cherif being the most dominant C in this class. He’s steadily risen up the rankings, but has stayed relatively unknown nationally. Kentucky has reached out here, and despite no official offer yet, I’m told all the staff really LOVES Cherif and his game/abilities. Could see a really hard pivot/push for him in the class of 2027, to replace Obinna Ekezie Jr as C #1. USC, Alabama, Georgia, BYU, Syracuse, Nebraska, TCU, Washington have all offered early. What do we think BBN? Of all 4 guys in the thread, who do you think Kentucky should prioritize as C #1 in 2027? Interested to hear opinions, as Malachi Moreno will likely be moving on after next season. UK will need a Center. @Cherif_mlg #BBN #KentuckyBasketball

Next best C available according to NXN’s 2027 Top 100 Rankings. (#21) 4⭐️ Darius Wabbington. (AZ) 6’11 240lb. Breakdown: Would probably be the best “Mark Pope Center” available in the class. Extremely talented, extremely versatile on offense. Can give you post ups from anywhere in the mid range, has excellent footwork so definitely a reliable post player you can trust to throw it in, and let him work through his moves to get a basket. A great passer who keeps his head up in those post situations and makes great reads/passes off what the defense’s rotations are to his post ups. He commands doubles a lot of times, and usually will make the correct read. This past year you’ve seen him in more 5 out actions where he’s got the ball in his hands at the top of the key making decisions. Has a good enough handle he’s still a threat from the permitter, and a very capable jump shooter not only off the pick an pop, but also off the dribble+catch/shoot scenarios. Great hands. Catches anywhere. Can truly give you old/new school big playstyles. Biggest concern right now is defense. Some legitimate concerns on his ability to switch on Guards, and even at 6’11, admittedly not the strongest shot blocker. Very versatile offensive prospect. High IQ. Will need to work on his defense, a getting a little stronger. Kentucky made contact early last year but didnt keep contact with many C’s due to Obinna, so definitely some ground to make up here. Arizona, Texas, Indiana, Louisville, Washington are the main schools. #BBN #KentuckyBasketball
