Sources say Russias and Putin stance on Ukraine have hardened significantly the country no longer wishes to negotiate and is fully committed to capturing the eastern regions of the county which it will use a buffer zone for post war escalation is expected.

Genuinely don’t think the pass was on to Haaland here. IMO the centre back defends the 2v1 superbly and all but cuts off that pass (bar absolutely zipping it through on the run which is a v difficult pass) Textbook defending of that situation. Though im sure someone will freeze it and say i’m talking shite 🤣 but in real time its split second stuff.

Several more went through on their own.
The Strait is still moving. For now.

During the match he made an X with his arms to report a case of racism, however it was ignored by the ref
After the match he was upset with the ref and said:
"It's all about money. They want Messi to stay in the tournament.
In football, many things happen off the pitch because of interests.
What happened was unfair.
Egypt deserved to qualify. We were the better team against Argentina."

@RioMoussallem To be honest. They only have themselves to blame. They choked and blew-up comfortable lead. Argentina was definitely a better team, Egypt was luckier, but luck ran out eventually. Officiating was somewhat okay.

@Kasparov63 Circumstances weren’t identical. Just look at the ball and who is in possession.
But VAR did cause a lot of false negative cases. Referees just stopped calling obvious fouls on their own.

It was a foul, but for better or worse it was reviewed and called and the goal disallowed. Meanwhile, almost identical circumstance with teams reversed, and there was no foul or review. Love or hate VAR, but applying it consistently isn’t too much to ask.
