@ukJ0N Really good speech, but admitting he has know about all this since 2012, and not acting in any way to stop it is appalling!

Great speech Nigel Farage gave a strong speech today in Westminster condemning the "mass rape gangs," decades of cover-ups, and calling for full transparency, publication of reports, and use of parliamentary powers to compel witnesses. And the bitches still bitch, this time because he turned up. You just can't win Nigel. Remember Nigel has been talking about this issue since 2012, soon he will have the power to do what he promised when we have a Reform UK government. Notice the strong Reform presence there - Suella, Lee & Robert also in attendance.

I know Villa can be ‘resolute’ as well but if I’m Morgan Rogers I’m not going anywhere near Arsenal. He should ask Eze how he feels about his move. I guess if he did sign he could do that sitting next to him on the bench. Football is to be enjoyed not endured

That’s enough Arsenal now, please. You’d think no one had ever won the English league before. And, unlike six other English clubs, they still haven’t won the top European honour.

Extraordinary poll in The Times. Reform now leads Labour among Unite members (36-30) and GMB members (31-22). No party has ever challenged Labour's grip on the trade unions before. This signals a tectonic shift in British politics. Working Britain is defecting to Reform.

To all Makerfield voters intending to vote for #RestoreBritain rather than #ReformUK: If Burnham wins, that result will be on YOU. YOU will have enabled it. YOU will have to take the blame. YOU will have to OWN it. Are you up for that?

@LeeAndersonMP_ If any MP could ask for a 650 MP debate why has this not been done by Reform?

Mythbusting. At 4.30pm today there is a Westminster Hall Debate on an e-petition on the publication of child sexual offender data. The petition calls for all relevant agencies to publish the data on nationality, ethnicity, religion and immigration status of people convicted of child sexual offences. I have been asked to attend this so called Rape Gang Debate today by a constituent. Fact check it is not specifically a Rape Gang Debate as this debate is about all sexual offences committed on children. This debate does not belong to any MP it is a petition debate and will be opened by Jamie Stone MP from the Liberal Democrats. Every MP is automatically invited to these debates. I've noticed that some people are calling for all 650 MPs to attend. This is nonsense as the room only allows for around 50 MPs to sit in the Westminster Hall Committee Room, therefore I can say in confidence that at around 600 MPs will not be in attendance but I'm sure some people will try and make political capital out of a very serious issue and accuse MPs of not being bothered to turn up. There is nothing stopping any MP asking for a similar debate in the House of Commons so all 650 MPs could attend. The online political hijacking of a debate of this nature is very sad to see. It is not helpful and is an insult to all the victims.

Just back from the Arsenal parade with my 5-year-old. What a day. Quite an experience, cycling through that 🫪 Also I've never seen so much marijuana being openly smoked right in front of hundreds of police officers. A question: have the police entirely given up the war on drugs?

I never accused you of being silent on the issue, Matt. I simply said that calling the inquiry, and those who participated in and supported it, "dumb" was wrong. I asked a question: were the rape gang victims dumb for having participated in, and praised, that non-statutory private inquiry? Furthermore, would Reform use its findings to inform their statutory inquiry, if they were to form a government? I would hope so. In which case, it's neither dumb nor pointless. In lashing out at Restore, you said something objectionable. In your response to me, you ignored the questions, went to motive and insults, and didn't clarify. You have a habit of talking past a point, and attacking an interlocutor. It's a good tactic for television, but it's not about me and you, in this case. It's about the rape gang victims who had an opportunity to tell their stories for the first time, at the inquiry, which you have dismissed to score partisan points.
Matt Goodwin@GoodwinMJ

How DARE you suggest I’ve insulted victims of the rape gangs. I have talked about the Pakistani Muslim rape gangs EVERY WEEK on GB News. I’ve given hundreds of speeches across the country about it. Including in the universities when it made you persona non grata. And I was one of the first people in Britain to demand the deportation of dual national groomers in early 2024 which then became Reform policy. Let me be clear Connor. I was calling YOU & other senior Restore activists dumb. People who are grandstanding thinking they will solve this scandal by holding a NON-STATUTORY inquiry that is simply too weak. You really are a horrible person. If you want truth and justice for the rape gang victims then vote Reform, get a full STATUTORY national inquiry & hold all those officials (including officials Restore is now helping escape justice by helping Andy Burnham) to account.

@WasAcop You’re missing his point. Lowe’s Grooming /Rape Gangs Inquiry was never going to deliver justice for any of the victims. It simply highlighted the problem and to an extent the scale of it. That in itself was helpful but did not result in arrests or trials.

You know why, Matt? As a victim of sexual abuse from my father, you don’t understand the relief or peace it can bring to tell your story, to have someone actually listen, write it down, record it and acknowledge it. Those brave people who gave evidence or talked to @officialsammyuk—the fact they were listened to without judgment—is more powerful than you can ever hope to understand.
Matt Goodwin@GoodwinMJ

@RaheemKassam What is the point of a rape gang inquiry unless it is statutory. This is what nobody has realised re Lowe either because they are too dumb or they don’t really care about doing the hard yards to get the actual change those girls and their families deserve.
