@JonathanGStone @AI_EmeraldApple Eh, it was $40, and I've had 40+ hours of fun with it. Where else can you get 40 hours of fun for a single dollar per hour? Even if it closed tomorrow I got my monies worth. If you need to get years of play out of $40 then the real world is really going to upset you.

With only 1.2 million copies sold, Marathon is facing a disaster. The "unrealized costs" of the game are running at about 200 million dollars, which analysts are expecting to rise as the declining MTX revenue from the shrinking player base doesn't cover the cost of running the servers and development of seasonal content. Worst of all, the "weekend" bump failed to materialize for the game, with a continued downward trend that continues to degrade the total playerbase count. The future of the game is looking bleak.
