@APEntertainment Probably my favourite filmmaker right now. He writes characters better than anyone

@CinemaTweets1 Silence of the Lambs
Heat
Uncut Gems
Id rather watch the Hollyoaks omnibus than sit though Tenet again

@FilmUpdates Loved this film. Hopefully we don't have to wait two decades for Todd Field's next picture
English

@Darwin_Paiva It's a good movie. Social media group think is a weird and tiring phenomena.

No one can take this seriously. It’s a hate campaign. The movie has issues but the things that work are top notch 10/10. Acting, cinematography, production design, score, soundtrack, hair and makeup are all 10/10. This level of hate is unjustified, purely emotional and wrong

#Joker2 receives a D CinemaScore Lowest ever for a comic book film

@DarrenConnell87 Yep agreed. It was fine. Decent watch. Very dark like the first one. Makes you wonder what movie the trolls were watching 🤡

@JemMaidment @prodnose I think it's probably between him and Peter Sellers isn't it? Chaplin was obviously from the silent era, so can't really be compared.
English

@prodnose The fact he was difficult makes me love him even more. The greatest comedy actor this country has produced. And the bar is high.
English

@NextBestPicture @ema_sasic Is it really 'darker' than the first picture?
English

Sometimes you can’t help but just laugh. JOKER: FOLIE À DEUX is one hell of a polarizing film. You’ll likely either applaud it for trying something different from the first film or vehemently despise it. It certainly feels like Todd Phillips hates his fans, as this sequel seemingly does everything in its power to squash any preconceived notions of what they were expecting or hoping for. I found it to be darker and thematically more intriguing as a continued character study of Arthur Fleck, with Joaquin Phoenix giving an even better, more nuanced performance the second time around, really clawing into the character’s psychology. And it’s gorgeously shot, with some striking, unforgettable images. On the other hand, it’s a slog to get through, with far too many poorly conceived musical numbers and a sluggish pace bogged down by a needless courtroom trial. I wish it was as interested in Lee as it is in Arthur because Gaga is delivering some compelling work as a crazed worshiper of this madman. Despite its flaws, there’s something to admire in the film’s sheer audacity, though it ultimately left me soul-crushingly disappointed.

@BartleyBurnside @DiscussingFilm There are literally pictures of him on set filming in the article...

Daniel Day-Lewis has seemingly unretired from acting.
He has been spotted shooting a new movie titled ‘AVELYNE’ with Sean Bean.

Worked with Scorsese, Spielberg, Baumbach, Soderbergh, Carax, Mann, Jeff Nichols, Coens, Ridley Scott, and Coppola, Jarmusch, Gilliam, as well as Abrams & Rian Johnson on Star Wars. You can argue about the films, but that director line up is unbeatable for an actor his age.

@DiscussingFilm I think he needs to hire a new agent.

@ShellGameJake @sapphicspielbrg I remember hearing that Gary Oldman clashed with Coppola on Dracula because of his scattershot approach. By the 90s, he had a reputation of going over budget and over schedule a lot
English

@mrhodgey @sapphicspielbrg I worked with all of these folks on the last Guardians of the Galaxy movie, and in comparison, James Gunn had a very specific idea of what he wanted, it made for a very smooth production, as smooth as a $250m movie can be anyway.
English

@ShellGameJake @sapphicspielbrg Any more details about why they quit?
English

@sapphicspielbrg have friends who worked in the art department (who quit en masse) and I’ve been sending every tweet like this to them lmao
English

@VodafoneUK I tried that and it was not a good experience. I'll try again.
