Rent control is an experiment that has been tried around the world. It always delivers the same result:
substandard accommodation for the poorest.
Why? Because you're asking people to spend more of their own money for no return or forcing the state to do it with no budget.

Still thinking about the Green's ludicrous manifesto. They want to abolish all private landlords, amongst other things. No idea how they could legally do that but what do they expect young people to do? Do they all just live with their parents then? So utterly stupid.

You only need 5% deposit. Check out deals from Nationwide, Barclays and many more. And ditch the £1,000 iPhone and buy an android one from Tesco for £100. Like I did. Buy a flat in Essex for 200,000 with £10,000 deposit and only 45 commute into Liverpool Street. And get a part time evening and weekend job too. Like my grandson did. Bingo. Homeowner.

Saw a guy fill up a wheely basket at M&S yesterday and wheel it straight out without paying for it. The majority of people I’ve seen do this aren’t homeless but junkies or scummy folk. They know it’s easy to do with no repercussions
