Productive meeting with senior representatives from Crown Prosecution Service for Merseyside and Cheshire. They are keen to reassure Muslim communities that the CPS takes hate crime very seriously and also on the work they have done to bring to justice the instigators of riots.

Following the riots a couple of our longstanding non-Muslim team members at Wirral Deen Centre, Andy and Neil wanted to host an afternoon tea at Andy’s house, where Neil’s wife made the cakes. This is friendship across different faith, backgrounds and cultures. This is community
