HAMILTON, ONTARIO - On March 30, 2026, an elderly victim received a phone call from a man posing as a grandchild who claimed to have been arrested and needed bail money. The caller instructed the victim not to tell anyone, claiming a judge had issued a gag order. The victim withdrew a large sum of cash, and between 5:30 and 6:00 p.m. that evening, a male suspect attended the residence on foot, collected the cash, and was last seen walking eastbound on Beach Road toward Gage Avenue. The suspect is described as a male in his 30s with brown skin, a medium build, dark hair, and a dark beard. He was wearing dark pants, a dark long-sleeve sweater, and brown shoes with white soles. Police are asking residents in the Beach Road and Gage Avenue area to check their surveillance cameras. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Hamilton Police Crimes Against Seniors Unit at 905-540-5155. BRAMPTON, ONTARIO - At approximately 5:44 a.m. on Friday, April 10, 2026, a homeowner pulled into their driveway in a southwest Brampton residential neighbourhood and entered their garage. Within seconds of parking, multiple suspects rushed the property during the brief window while the garage door was closing. Threats were screamed at those inside the home.
