I had a similar moment when I was writing the sacrifice of one character for another or was a character sacrifice that in the end felt so earned I was actually proud that I had written it but during the sacrifice scene I was bawling my eyes out typing it feeling every moment of pain but also love that character felt. Good stuff. Ugly crying is free.

It's finishing a chapter at 2 AM… crying… shaking…
and having no one to tell.
Because no one in your life understands why a story that isn't even real… broke you.
But it is real. To us, it's real.
