Points arent the whole game. Oh my God you people are fucking dense. Show me his penalty kill numbers. Show me how many shorthanded goals he scores. Show me his defensive possession numbers. Teams consistently win the cup while not having somebody in the top 10 or 20 in points. The team ride or dies with him scoring. If he's not scoring you're not winning.

A one-trick pony, doesn't guarantee you success, especially when he's the number one. Go ask McDavid about how much his personal achievements matter. Also, he's nowhere near the player that McDavid is. I wouldn't have a guy who half assed it on my team. Unless he's scoring three or four points a night, you're playing with a man down every game that he's on the ice. A player like Robert Thomas or Alex Tuch, will always be more valuable to a team than a Kucherov.

There's no emphasis of cherry picking either, many teams run the same system. Just say you don't watch hockey.

Why are people acting like arena attendance doesn’t suffer when a team is bad and thrives when they’re good? Sabres fans filled seats for jersey retirements, ceremonies etc throughout the years regardless. Let’s not act like Keybank was empty every single game during the drought.
