A 27-year-old unemployed Japanese man has been arrested by Kyoto police after sending threatening letters to Nintendo headquarters in which he claimed to have planted multiple bombs.
The letters included direct threats such as “I’m going to blow you all up” and “My plans cannot be thwarted.”
Nintendo reported the threats on March 16, prompting a police search that found no explosives or suspicious items.

This film was released on May 28, 1999, less than two months after The Matrix (March 31).
Despite arriving so soon after it, The Thirteenth Floor shares several thematic similarities with it: both explore characters discovering that what seems to be reality is actually a simulation.
The difference is that, while The Matrix leans more into cyberpunk action, this one follows more of an investigative noir thriller structure, with murder, conspiracy, and a constant existential atmosphere.
Based on the 1960s novel Simulacron-3, it’s a very underrated film that deserves to be rediscovered.

Now that I’ve seen it the oranges are clearly there because the citrus’s acidity cuts through richness, tenderizes fibers, and adds a bright glaze.

i think a lot of people quietly give up on their life because they become “realistic” too early. like they stop themselves before life even gets the chance to test them. but some people stay so delusionally optimistic about their future that they refuse to let their current reality become their final story. that’s probably why Elon Musk kept going even while rockets were failing publicly and Tesla looked finished. maybe that mindset changes everything. the ability to not emotionally collapse every time life refuses to validate you. that level of optimism changes people. because when you deeply believe something is possible, you behave differently. you last longer. you recover faster. you keep going during the phase where most people quietly lose belief in themselves.
