This is what factory thermal paste looks like on a brand new Antminer Z15 hashboard:
• Uneven coverage
• Air bubbles
• Dry zones
• Overflow everywhere
These ASICs run 24/7 under heavy load. Poor thermal contact = hotspots, instability, and early failures.
Always inspect and re-paste your boards, even fresh ones.

Luckiest solo miner in the world? 🚀🧱
EightofSpace on Reddit announced he solved his SECOND solo Bitcoin block from his house. 🤯
First one was October 27, 2025 at block 920440 with a NerdQAxe++ setup doing around ~130 TH/s total. Second one was May 4, 2026 at block 948146, this time with an Avalon Q.
Same guy. Same house. About half a million dollars.
Absolutely insane story.

This family is now way more comfortable and they're being paid in sats for heating their home. The basement is now the same temperature as the upper level. The furnace calls the miner, but also uses the home's gas furnace (and tuns off the miner) when the electricity prices are expensive. This results in free heat (actually $0.01/day profit) at current BTC price in Ontario. All automated.
The S19K Pro Slim miner is heating the lower level kid's play room. Having a hashrate heated home is a life hack.
Oh and they're running Knots and Datum so their heaters are using the home's node to submit block templates and they're getting sats paid-out daily on lightning.
This is why I love my work.
