Too often, too soon, we jump to procedural algorithms before deeply developing conceptual knowledge. This leads to problems down the road. It’s okay to leave the algorithm for later - in most cases the standards support that, too!

We should be teaching kids that the racial groups are equals. We should be teaching kids that skin color *should* not matter but it *does*. And we want you, my child, to help us build an antiracist world where skin color no longer matters; only our underlying humanity. 9/9
