🚨 WE MUST SAVE OUR BORDERS NURSERIES 🧸 Today, Scottish Borders councillors have decided to start a process of consultation to close several nurseries across the Scottish Borders. This is the wrong decision - 𝐈 𝐭𝐨𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐨𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐞 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐈 𝐚𝐦 𝐝𝐞𝐞𝐩𝐥𝐲 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦. The Council should be supporting our rural communities. We want to make our beautiful Borders a welcoming and attractive place for young families - having local, easily accessible and good quality childcare is a vital part of doing that. I’ll be fighting these closures alongside parents and the local community. LIKE and SHARE to show your support for parents campaigning to save our nurseries.

@mrscg47 @CarolNairn Yes thanks Christine - a couple of other folk also suggested Phacelia - confess I’d not come across it before - good to know it’s being used as a soil improver (& so pretty)

We’ve had fields of blue flax, borders of forget-me-nots around oats & now a field of this unfamiliar mauve flower next to potato fields - anyone recognise it? I can’t find it in my wildflower books - it’s very pretty - the flower buds curl like caterpillars! #ScottishBorders
