There are 5,000+ national guardsman in North Carolina 4. The U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and U.S. Health and Human Services are all working throughout the region 5. Biden spoke to Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp (R) who said he got "everything he asked for" from POTUS in Georgia. 6. Gov. Roy Cooper (D) asked Biden, Harris and Trump to stay out until rescue missions were complete for obvious reasons 7. Local groups and orgs typically lead the immediate relief efforts; the feds support with $$ and additional resources but are rarely the first to respond (again, for obvious reasons) 8. FEMA & local groups are shipping in food and supplies via truck, plane, and even freaking mules! 9. FEMA search and rescue teams are on the ground and have been for days 10. The expression “call a spade a spade” comes from the work of Plutarch, who originally wrote “call a fig a fig & a trough a trough.” Figs & troughs were crude slang for the Vulva, so what Plutarch meant was “call a c*nt a c*nt”. When Erasmus (1466-1536) translated Plutarch’s work & changed it to a garden spade to avoid embarrassment.

@TeachMrReed @declatom I was 100% this way until we did Dress Like a Student day and I wore ONE airpod. I was distracted. I couldn't hear as well even with the music off. It was eye opening. New process next year.....

@declatom *based on my experience* I allow kids to use AirPods in class as long as 1) It’s during an appropriate time 2) Their music isn’t too loud and 3) They’re able to engage w/ their peers/me effectively. Certain battles don’t actually have to happen if we’re proactive about it.

I really hate the “No hats, hoods, or headwear,” policies that so many schools enforce. Is that hat stopping that kid from engaging in the lesson? No.

FYI there’s a fake account on here impersonating me and going viral. The Twitter CEO has engaged it, boosting visibility. It is releasing false policy statements and gaining spread. I am assessing with my team how to move forward. In the meantime, be careful of what you see.
