Her fanbase is very large and VERY diverse. Some of us are trying to shut the dumbass ones up. I wish that portion would stop or go away.

The players don’t deserve this. The league doesn’t deserve this. The longstanding fans of WBB don’t deserves this. And the league will crumble bc of this & them!

@Se0kedInLuv @joesastudlystud @imKTitsme I actually do call them out and block/mute them. Unfortunately, it is a small loud portion on social media. I know/talk to a lot of fans that are nice and not acting like the pos’ of the world. Many are not on social media and just tune in to watch good bb.

Watch this angle of the confrontation between Caitlin Clark and referee Gerda Gatling last night. Caitlin walks away to defuse the situation, and Gerda follows her the entire time while continuing to chirp. That’s not what de-escalation looks like. The @WNBA needs to get a handle on its officials. Their job is to manage the game—not become part of the story.

When a star player yelling at a ref becomes a big story , that’s the world telling you that you’re league is not respected as a real league . Imo the WNBA media played a big role in this and some of the players & their social media obsession also played a role!

@smdrinkw @PghSki17 Does she ever complain off the court? She constantly gives credit to teammates, coaches, other teams. She rarely directly complains. Have you watch post game press conferences at all? There have been many teams/players/ coaches who complain about the refs. They are terrible.

NEWS: The Dallas Wings' matchup with the New York Liberty tonight has been rescheduled to July 20. It will now be the second game of a back-to-back, as the Wings are already scheduled to face the Los Angeles Sparks on July 19.
