This week is national blood week. In November I was so grateful to receive 4 blood transfusions within a week. It is not an exaggeration to say this saved my life after my heamoglobin fell to dangerous levels. Thank you so much to anyone that has ever given blood! ❤️
NHS Blood Donation 🩸🩹@GiveBloodNHS

🩸 It’s #NationalBloodWeek, a chance to celebrate one of the country’s biggest volunteering forces: all our donors! To every single person who has donated blood with the NHS – THANK YOU. Your selfless acts help save and improve lives across the nation every day. ❤️

@kate_stockings These blogs are so helpful. Have taught A Level for years but I am teaching Edexcel for the first time. Kate’s insights into the Regenerating Places unit have been invaluable! Thank you

@ITimbrell I’ve used the phrase ‘your grown ups who care for you’ for some time now. Such an important consideration to make. Thank you for highlighting this

Saying Mum & Dad isn’t wrong - assuming every child has a mum & dad is. Some have two mums, two dads, carers etc If you know a child has a mum & dad, then great, say it! But it costs nothing to say parents & carers when you don’t know. No one loses anything, but some gain a lot.

Working on improving support for our non-specialist staff across our MAT. New teacher guidance booklets have been well received with additional ideas for discussion, key points to emphasise, background information & sample answers 💪 Building teacher confidence is 🔑 with PSHCE

@mrspemberton85 Two pages set each fortnight. Most is self/peer marked with an associated PowerPoint. 6 and 8 mark questions are teacher marked. Additional exam questions and revision may be set on top of this.

In Sept we are launching our GCSE independent study booklets which use simple retrieval templates and exam technique. Students complete two pages a week (one on current learning and one on Year 9 or 10 content). Hopefully a more effective homework! #geographyteacher

Anyone got an example of how you have done booklets for AQA gcse geography? I’m quite particular on how I teach and would like a good range of skills, plus some 4/6 mark questions in! Do you also just use PPT or other? If I’m doing them I’m doing it properly! #aqageography #GCSE
