My friends, the Bible teaches us clearly that when we die, we go straight to be with the Lord or face judgment. There is no middle place called purgatory where we work off our sins. Hebrews 9:27 says, “It is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment.” Jesus paid the full price for our sins on the cross. We are saved by grace through faith in Him alone, not by our own efforts after death.

If someone who has wandered away from the faith comes back to church with a sincere heart, wanting to live the right way, but you cannot stop thinking about the mistakes they made before, then it is you who needs to come to Jesus. The Bible teaches us clearly about this. Think of the prodigal son who returned home after wasting his life. His father ran to welcome him with open arms and great joy, not with reminders of his failures. When we hold onto the past, we forget the grace God has given us all. Let us open our hearts, forgive as Christ forgave us, and rejoice when the lost are found.
