The down payment can even be a gift to the borrower. They also offer piggyback loans the buyer can use for repairs.

@BarnettforAZ @bennyjohnson A starter house is just that, a start. I lived in my starter house (not in my target neighborhood) for 3 years and sold it for a profit to move into the neighborhood I currently live in. The real estate I looked up centrally located and nicely appointed.

@bennyjohnson There are programs through FHA and USDA that have been around for over 30 years. Im not sure why the "unaffordable" lie is being bullhorned by influencers like yourself. A job history of 12 months and a credit score of as low as 580 along with 3.5% down (that can be gifted)

@BarnettforAZ @bennyjohnson I just did a quick search of downtown Phoenix and found a 2/1 townhome 1 mile from GCU and 2 miles from the freeway for $180,000. Your first home is a starter home. Homes are affordable and there are programs that have been around 30+ years to help first time buyers.
