@mrwright84 Totally! But I love the way they talk about how Joe let them have that balance of enjoying life off the filed in order to keep them loose/ready for the grind on the field. That's that human nature, they're not robots etc. It's a fascinating balance!

Just an exceptional 2 hour conversation. Insightful on a baseball level, and shines such a light on the human element/nature of all this that we don't always consider. And Jon's no-nonsense, I'm here to win attitude is just the absolute best. Great episode. Jon Lester forever.

Gone back/forth on what my main takeaway was from this ep but atm I think it's what bringing in WINNERS did for that team. We knew it at the time a little but this convo really shows what prescense of proven winners like Lester, Ross, Lackey, Zobrist brought to that clubhouse

I know the book is not yet written on Cade Horton in Heyward got a ring wearing 22 but I found this old Addison Russell joint from a decade ago in my basement and it got me to thinking about other organizations Also fun fact, Bill Buckner wore 22 for the Cubs before heading to Boston.
