The Uk 🇬🇧 government is finding every means possible to stop the naturalisation of many legal migrants who came here during Covid.
Let’s be honest about what happened.
When the country needed workers in the NHS, care homes, transport, logistics, they opened the door.
People left their countries, families, and stability to come and fill those gaps.
Now?
The goalpost is moving!
You paid:
• IHS fee
• Visa application fee
• Visa renewal fee
And you’re expected to pay:
• ILR fee
• Life in the UK test
• British passport fee
Thousands upon thousands of pounds.
All from people who:
1. Cannot access public funds
2. Pay full international tuition if they study
3. Are restricted from certain opportunities
4. Still show up to work and pay taxes
Tell me… what exactly is the problem here?
You pay:
1. Income tax
2. Council tax
3. National Insurance
4. Pension
Wait.
If you’re “not needed”, why are you paying into a pension system you may never benefit from?
Politicians are now everywhere sowing the seed of discord.
The Conservative Party under the leadership of @KemiBadenoch is pushing longer routes, up to 15 years to settle.
The @reformparty_uk party under the leadership of @Nigel_Farage wants to scrap ILR entirely.
And voices within that circle are telling the public that migrants are a “£20,000 burden”.
A burden?
From people who are literally funding the system?
And then you have @Labour under the leadership of @10DowningStreet trying to sit on the fence.
Saying just enough to sound fair, but never enough to fix anything!
Here’s the truth;
You cannot invite people in,
Take their labour,
Take their taxes,
Take their money at every stage…
And then rewrite the rules when it’s time to honour your side.
That’s not policy.
That’s exploitation. Or modern day slavery.
If migrants are truly a burden…
Stop charging them.
Stop taxing them.
Stop depending on them.
But we all know you won’t.
What you all want is for people to continue
Paying.
Working.
Waiting.
Indefinitely.

Got arrested and detained at Area F in Ikeja over what I thought was just harmless banter.
I was invited by the DPO, so I went there calmly, thinking it was something I could easily explain.
I explained everything… told them it was just cruise.
That same day, I was locked up.
Spent over a week in a cell because of something I didn’t take seriously until my lawyer came through 🙏🏾💔🥲

nobody extends grace anymore and it’s so sad. life is hard for everyone. you miss one birthday and now you’re an enemy, you forget to do something and now you’re unreliable. Always extend grace because you don’t know how many times it’s been extended to you.

I’m tired. My house keeper loves watching tv. I’ve told her many times to sit down and watch with me but she won’t listen. She just smiles and leaves. Then a while later I see her sneaking back to watch. So I’ve learnt to sit still so she doesn’t know I can see her watching, sometimes I’m pressed but I can’t get up. Oti su mi 🤣
