I generally trade using an ORB, or I enter at the close. I consider intraday moves mostly noise, and I believe the closing price is what matters most. As preparation, I build a watchlist of stocks to monitor each day and check the open. This is where I often take positions on the 1-minute or 5-minute ORB. Strong stocks tend to make their low of the day at the open. Since I'm a position trader, I don't place stop orders at this point. That said, I never use stop orders at all. Everything is done manually. If a stock isn't in the green within 3 days, I may sell at the close on the third day even if it hasn't broken below my 21EMA Low rule. That's because based on my trade analysis, the win rate of positions that aren't in the green within 3 days is extremely low. Stocks that pass my minimum filters like market cap and moving averages and break the LL-HL structure pivot get sent to my Discord as notifications, so once I'm done checking the open, I just watch for Discord alerts. That's how much I like my LL-HL structure indicator. It's one of my edges. For $ARM, I took the position at the close on the 19th. At that point, the LL-HL structure hadn't confirmed yet, and a counter trendline was being drawn. I entered when I saw it break at the close.

@oratnek_ill when you enter new position, eg, ARM did you do the 5m or 30m orb the morning of NY open?

$HOOD Once it crosses $80 it’s primed for takeoff. Now the 3D HMA ribbon turned green after successfully making a bullish crossover in April and holding these $70 levels. Best entry around $65, but DCAing all the way there if we ever have a pullback, is another solid strategy. People have to start paying attention here again on $HOOD as it can easily double from these levels in the coming months.

$SMH We reject again at the $575/580 levels, will have $SMH rejecting the top of the 1D HMA ribbon. Plus making a rounding top, a bearish reversal pattern. Watch out for these levels. If we breakout, then nothing stops this train.

@oratnek_ill that would be amazing! but can't you just keep the posts from the bot only so there is no outside noise?

I think using something like Discord is the best way to catch pivot breaks in real time. Pine Screener requires you to create a list first, so the universe is limited. My Structure Pivot indicator is open source, so with AI, it's easy to set up Discord notifications. I've considered opening my Discord to the public, but managing it takes effort, and the chat could become noise depending on who's posting, so I've decided to keep it private for now.

@oratnek_ill Do you know how to use the Pine Screener and your LL-HL pivot to find stocks just breaking over the pivot? I've tried it but it doesn't seem to work very well.

Portfolio 05/12 $AAOI $AXTI $BE $CIEN $CRCL $CRDO $CRWD $IONQ $LITE $LSCC $NBIS $NVTS $RKLB $SNDK $VIAV $VRT $VSAT $WDC New : IONQ Trim : LITE, NVTS Out : TTMI, WULF I took a position in IONQ yesterday, but I've started gradually raising cash. $QQQ's ATR% from 50SMA has finally crossed above 10. Many of the currently strong stocks are also above 8. Control your risk, only enter on good setups, and don't let FOMO take over.

One change that had a dramatic impact on my trading was changing the way I scanned the market. Instead of screening for setups each day, I screened for strength (52 week highs, doublers over 52 weeks, volume & price pops). These stocks create my universe list that I review each day for setups, in the stocks/groups that are the strongest. No longer trade C+ stocks with quality setups, but instead stay patient for the A+ stocks setup.

@jmoneystonks Agree completely, oops reversals, support gaps, and VWAP reclaims have been my entry tactic tools for the last two years.

My guest today is Paul Tudor Jones (@ptj_official), one of the greatest macro traders of all time. He correctly predicted the 1987 stock market crash and shorted the Japanese bubble in 1990. For over 40 years, his flagship fund has had a negative correlation to the S&P 500. 100% of his returns are alpha. He says today's market has so many similarities to 2000, "the easiest bear market I've ever seen in my whole life." He makes the case for going long dollar-yen, why Bitcoin beats gold as an inflation hedge, and why he was wrong about Warren Buffett. But what I'll remember most from this conversation is Paul's zest for life. He's 71 and still wakes at 2:30 every morning to trade the London open. He works out for two hours a day. He walks with his wife every evening. He travels the country chasing peak spring and peak fall. He's so excited about the songs picked for his funeral that he wishes he could be there to hear them. Paul has lived five lifetimes in one. He's one of the most entertaining and interesting people I've met, and the conversation will leave you searching to be as passionate about what you do as he is about what he does. Enjoy!
