@greyscribbles I'm sorry :( no advice just here to give you don't comfort..I understand. One idea is to find a field that most aligns with you. Or branch out into other areas like management, public health or education

@Charlygotyou Laziness!!!
Imagine yourself at 10:00 pm, completely exhausted trying to remove that petroleum “water proof” of your eyelashes every single day!
English

@Charlygotyou It's a bit of effort and I only make it when I'm feeling full of energy and optimism. It's also a pain to take off and forces me to commit to my skincare routine. Which is a good thing, but many days I'm just tired and end up only cleaning with micellar water and not washing.

Question to anyone out there:
I have a young man (22 yrs old) in my extended family who is able-bodied and smart but literally won’t do anything with himself. Rarely leaves the house, never went to college, has never worked. Will not drive a car. Plays video games a lot. Often doesn’t leave his room when we come visit.
But if you talk to him he’s bright and easy to talk to and nice. Could do well in life.
Often has undiagnosable mystery ailments that have been used to justify his inactivity but nothing concrete.
What is this, really? Anxiety? Depression? I’ve never seen anything like it. All I do is pray for him.

@Myst_Vibe @sciencegirl Who is zbobo. And why did they make this
English

@MoniKay9295 @loremachina Yeah because clicking a few buttons on your phone and deciding what you want for dinner is the very same as grocery shopping, meal planning, prepping and cooking, and washing the dishes

@drkeithsiau "ADHD is a personality trait" girl what are you talking about. Anyway congrats on the diagnosis
English

Today was the day I finally accepted that I have ADHD. The impatience, constant sense of urgency, interrupting sentences, distractibility, forgetting names, struggling to read through a book, being awful with tasks, coming up with more ideas than I can finish, and the ruthless pursuit of efficiency. My counselling session opened my eyes - these traits have been lifelong, they shape who I am, and I’m grateful to everyone who has tolerated me along the way. I see it not as a disorder, but a personality trait that is common in high-achieving professions and one that needs to be tamed.
I asked my wife whether she thought I could have ADHD, and she said she knew about it since day one 😭
