I'm hearing all about paleontology and fossils from my 2nd grader. My 7 year old just told me "the oldest fossil they've ever found is a 3.7 billion year old micro-organism." He’s gaining so much knowledge from the @ELeducation curriculum.

I'm teaching a spelling/vocabulary unit on the 4 spellings of /f/ - f, ff, ph, and gh. Breaking words into syllables is really helpful for spelling, but it doesn't help with all parts of the word. indifferent - in di ffer ent Knowledge in morphemes is the key in ff here.
