A new statue of liberation hero Joshua Nkomo has been installed in Maphisa, Matabeleland South, ahead of tomorrow’s Zimbabwe Independence Day celebrations, as Zimbabwe marks 46 years of independence. The main national celebrations will be held there. I wonder how much it cost to build this statue.

𝗘𝗫𝗧𝗢𝗥𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗜𝗦 𝗔 𝗖𝗥𝗜𝗠𝗘, 𝗦𝗢 𝗪𝗛𝗬 𝗖𝗔𝗡’𝗧 𝗞𝗨𝗗𝗔 𝗢𝗣𝗘𝗡 𝗔 𝗖𝗔𝗦𝗘 𝗪𝗜𝗧𝗛 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗣𝗢𝗟𝗜𝗖𝗘? Temba, I understand that you are working, but don’t lie that my decision not to support CAB3 is about money. We both know my not supporting CAB3 has nothing to do with money or promises but the principle of not letting one family and a few greedy individuals butcher our constitution to make our nation their own private enterprise. I could've kept quiet and continued to make money from these people, but my conscience wouldn't allow. You said to a mutual friend three days ago that I've dug my own grave. So if you're on the right side of history and I'm on the wrong side, why try to save me from a grave that is already dug? Why not just cover me in the grave since your bosses are gods of MaDzimbabwe? Why worry about a nobody who has dug his own grave? For years you came to South Africa trying to convince me that vaMnangagwa and those around him must go, for younger people like you, Chamisa, Kasukuwere, Hopewell, myself, and others to ascend. You complained about how much of a liar Kuda was and how he couldn’t be trusted, but I didn't budge because I believed in unity around one leadership while we fought outsiders (sanctions), irrespective of my differences with that leadership. I remained loyal to that leadership, which I knew despised me, until we removed sanctions. Even after removing sanctions, I remained standing behind them despite all their unfulfilled promises because I knew stability come through unity. This is despite how I felt about that leadership. You even intervened when I told you there were rumors that Kuda sought to get me killed in September 2022 after he called me to come and get money to pay the South African lawyers money they were owed, and then he kept me waiting for two weeks. Have you now forgotten all that? Then in February 2026, the leadership introduced the amendment bill with many clauses that butcher our constitution and while we were still digesting that, they began to beat the opposition and those opposing this amendment. Here's where I drew the line and aired my views against an amendment to our constitution without referendum. I did this knowing that the system owes me money for work I did. I just couldn’t find it in my conscience to keep defending this abuse, and I wasn’t going to allow the money they owe me to keep me quiet. The work I did on sanctions and what I was promised is known to everyone in our circles, including you. We had various discussions about this, including on 23 January 2023 (listen attached). You also know that Kuda called me to come to Harare in October 2025 to give me money and a car after he begged me to keep fighting Geza. So him and I were cool until he started attacking me for not supporting CAB3. It's Kuda who decided to pay people to attack me on social media, forcing me to defend myself on the same platform. And instead of taking responsibility that he's forced me to defend myself, by taking it down a notch, he keeps sending people, now you, to accuse me of extortion, forcing me to again produce evidence that I didn't extort him. How stupid is that? Nevertheless, do what you're paid to do; I respect a man that works for his money, but it won’t change the fact that this constitutional amendment is wrong and being forced down people's throats, and I've decided not to support it. This won’t change. I'm not going to be distracted from that by jumping into a mud-fight about senseless allegations. Why would someone like me who fought a public war against sanctions and succeeded in removing them, need to extort an individual like Kuda when the work he commissioned on behalf of the President, which is worth millions, is still unpaid? I have every recording and written undertaking on what's owed and what was promised, but I won't focus on that right now because it takes our attention away from the real issue of #NoToCAB3.

In my previous warning to Sekuru Rutendo, I felt it necessary to caution him against his increasingly reckless behavior as a PR figure, and to refrain from becoming a mere pawn for factional agendas. Since he has remained fixated on the same issue it remains my duty to convey this truth: this relentless fixation is unbecoming of you, Sekuru. Hamuna kutorerwa mukadzi ka zvomorambira panyaya imwechete These warnings are not exclusive to you, Sekuru. I extended similar advise to Kasukuwere as I endeavored to help him mend political relationships. Regrettably, as is commonplace among such individuals, he undermined my efforts by leaking confidential information and spinning conspiracies involving the CIO. Even while we shared meals prepared naMbuya, he resorted to duplicitous dealings that were a betrayal of my intentions. Despite my public warning you are taking the same path. After failing to get what he wanted from Kuda, Sekuru Rutendo has effectively aligned himself with a faction that has made Tagwirei their primary target, perceiving him as their principal political rival. He finds himself in collaboration with figures like Makomichi, participating in a subversive enterprise that not only seeks to bolster the Vice President’s agenda from within but also actively undermines the authority of the sitting President. Those in proximity to the Vice President should have the candor to inform him that such tactics are not only misguided but perilously counterproductive. As someone who has worked alongside Kuda, it is evident that Rutendo has been co-opted to employ insider intelligence and privileged information in a bid to diminish Tagwirei’s political stature, ostensibly to carve a path for the VP’s candidacy. The root of Rutendo's compliance in this insidious endeavor stems from his failure to secure US$1 million and a 300 Series he sought from Kuda, who rightfully refused to be extorted. It is abundantly clear that Sekuru's grievances have morphed into a bitter irrationality, as evidenced by the fantastical narratives he now fabricates. His latest conspiracy theories regarding the WEF and the Illuminati reveal an alarming detachment from reality. How can such notions possibly be taken seriously? Rutendo has refuted my assertion that I introduced him to Tagwirei, attributing the introduction instead to Emmerson Jnr. I shall refrain from further disputation, yet it is curious that this association with Jnr has not deterred him from launching direct assaults, even against the President, who happens to be the father of Jnr himself. Hunhu hwekupi hwakadaro nhai Sekuru? Even within the framework of our cultural values, such conduct reflects poorly on your character. You have permitted your animosity for Kuda to be exploited by politicians pursuing their own agendas, and I must caution you that you are, in effect, digging your own grave. In the future, who would desire to collaborate with you? Loyalty yields far greater dividends than the antics you’ve displayed, which fall well below the expected standards of a PR professional. You have endeavored to drape a facade of national patriotism over your bitterness, yet your exaggerated claims, rife with insinuation yet devoid of substantiation, underscore your lack of credibility. Ultimately, your claims reflect someone who has aligned with the highest bidder. You previously collaborated with Kuda, and now you find yourself serving a faction intent on seizing power and are using you for that! The agenda of Sekuru extends beyond mere grievances; it is evident that he has become a mercenary for a faction fixated on dismantling Kuda Tagwirei’s reputation. What you fail to recognize is that Tagwirei, having navigated the harsh realities of politics, has developed resilience. The landscape of politics renders public denunciations relatively inconsequential. It is worth noting that Tagwirei, in stark contrast to the many vying for power, has steadfastly remained committed to ZANU PF over many years. Those who truly influence the decision-making within the party are acutely aware of this. Your abrupt pivot signifies a betrayal of a newly conceived strategy, one financed by other Zviganandas, aimed at intensifying the onslaught against Tagwirei. This maneuver was anticipated and is unlikely to yield significant repercussions. The only notable impact of Sekuru's diatribes will likely be a withdrawal of support from other professionals and entities, who may distance themselves due to a perceived lack of professionalism stemming from his conduct toward former clients. Direct to you Moyo; this is not a higher calling you pursue; rather, your actions reflect basic, selfish instincts intrinsic to human nature. I do not defend anyone but will clarify your deceptions, even those you foist upon yourself. Public figures such as Tagwirei, Scott, and Chivayo have been subjects of extensive stacks like yours. What has ultimately become of them? The answer to this rhetorical question should illuminate the inevitable outcome of your own current endeavors.

Mutsvangwa's consistent lack of finesse is a source of ongoing astonishment, revealing a potentially compromised stance regarding the complex dynamics of succession. In this instance, he seizes upon a straightforward inquiry to audaciously prescribe to the President the course of action he ought to pursue! Rather than explaining that the matter of extension is a party stance, he implicitly instructs ED on what course he should take. The President has articulated his position on this issue with clarity; he does not require Mutsvangwa's ambitious ideas, seemingly fueled by whisky, to chart his path. Such erratic talk is perilous, as it only serves to perpetuate unfounded conspiracies within the party.

🔸Dear @wicknellchivayo, Is it true as reported below that you were not invited to meet Mr Dangote but tried to gate crash the gathering at State House? What was in the envelope you were holding? We need new leaders.🇿🇼
TheNewsHawks@NewsHawksLive

#ChivayoInStateHouseMeetingScandal #BarredFromSeeingNigerianBillionaire Prominent and flamboyant ex-convict tenderpreneur Wicknell Chivayo gatecrashed State House in Harare yesterday in a desperate bid to attend the meeting between President Emmerson Mnangagwa and Nigerian billionaire Aliko Dangote to sign a US$1 billion investment deal, but was barred from the event. The incident left Mnangagwa's security and protocol teams fretting, and those attending the event bewildered. Chivayo had lied to his hangers-on that he was going to meet Dangote to sign a mega deal and officials were waiting for him at State House. His social media hacks started posting false stories about the issue, with the narrative that he had an appointment with Mnangagwa and Dangote. Chivayo used that false claim to worm his way into State House to try to gatecrash the meeting for a photo opportunity as there was no business deal between him and Dangote. Before that, Chivayo had begged state officials and organisers to attend the event, but was rebuffed. Apart from Mnangagwa and Dangote, the meeting was attended by cabinet ministers, government officials and business executives. Chivayo, who has expressed public ambitions to be a billionaire and always hobnobs with Presidents in Africa and rich people whenever he gets a chance, stormed State House - uninvited - and tried to gatecrash the meeting, but was stopped dead in his tracks by Mnangagwa's aides, including his son Sean, who is part of the close security unit, and turned away. "It was drama; a spectacle. Chivayo was not invited to the meeting. He had spent some time trying to convince the President's protocol and security teams that he should be allowed to attend the Dangote meeting. He begged them for days, but all in vain. He badly wanted to see Dangote and pitch his quick-buck schemes, but, as usual, he had also seen a big photo opportunity for himself. So he contrived to deceive or scam his hangers-on and state officials. All he wanted was to get a photo with Dangote to enhance his status and in the process scam people that he is signing deals with the richest man in Africa, wealthiest black person in the world. Chivayo likes Dangote, but for his own interests. Yes, he truly admires him, but the difference is that one is a genuine businessman, while the other is a tenderpreneur. Their business models, values and ambitions are so different, and not aligned at all. One is building generational wealth, while the other one is looking for tenders, fame and flamboyance for temporary gratification," a senior government official who attended the meeting told The NewsHawks. "Chivayo's plan this time failed. He had plotted this after failing to get invited to the meeting. Under false pretences, he then negotiated his way at the gate into State House, which is a security breach I'm told, and tried to force his way into the meeting, but he was stopped. He was told it was not possible to attend because he was not invited. His attempt to name-drop the President was promptly and curtly rejected. He was told to go away, so he was embarrassed and humiliated." Journalists covering the event say they saw Chivayo walking towards State House offices after parking his car. "I saw him walking from his car coming to State House offices where we were, carrying a brown envelope and thought he had been invited last minute, but it soon became clear he was trying to gatecrash the meeting. This reminds me of the way he manoeuvred to take a photo with Kenyan President William Ruto at Trade Fair in Bulawayo last year. Out of that deft move, he has now become Ruto's friend and has got business opportunities in Kenya. That is his business model - infleunce-peddling; hence he has met many Presidents in the region, among them those from Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Mozambique, Nigeria and Malawi, among others. But this time it failed. It was really embarrassing. After the drama, he walked away with his tail between his legs."
