The Parliamentary Thematic Committee on Culture and Heritage has embarked on Public Consultations on The Traditional Courts System in Zimbabwe, commonly referred to as customary courts which have historically been integral to the nation' s legal framework. These courts are deeply embedded in the cultural and historical traditions of the country' s diverse ethnic groups, playing a crucial role in upholding social order, resolving disputes and administering justice, particularly in rural and communal areas. The Committee has since covered Murombedzi in Zvimba and Chiwundura.
