everyone knows that if you want to stay top of mind you have to stir up the pot sometimes. i’m not ashamed of admitting that. we do it often but we actually put a lot of thought into how to do that without being ACTUALLY disruptive sure we’ll inscribe the odd 4mb jpeg to get the idiots on twitter riled up and get them to imagine we’re breaking bitcoin. but we’d never ACTUALLY try to break someone else’s system — we try to quietly support many teams of builders in bitcoin, including “maxi” teams we’ll go on stage in miami and dance onstage in wizard outfits in the yearly normie-fest to get people to cry about it. but we wouldn’t do that in an actual dev conference where people go to work (often voluntarily) and try to make bitcoin better. instead we support and sponsor those we’ll encourage our community to take over social media and promote OP_CAT, but we EXPLICITLY warned them that they are NOT allowed to spam and brigade the Bitcoin Core github pages. even though there are many things i disagree on with bitcoin core contributors, they are hard-working people trying their best. we’re not here to make their lives difficult. you will not find a single Taproot Wizard or Quantum Cat holder harassing devs on github, and that’s very intentional and not a coincidence 🐱🐱🐱 contrast that with assholes like “ocean pool”. this lame excuse of a company does nothing useful other than lighting investor money on fire.
