@TheATSthetic old walkthroughs are fantastic. was watching a friend play earthbound the other day and had to pull up a guide for a part i couldn't quite remember. found a guide that was written from the perspective of ness - with little blurbs from the other party members.

It's been really nice playing Ocarina of Time, getting stuck in some place, and finding some old site from the year I was born to show me the way.

@mscapgras well, i mean, every fallout is a bit guilty of that, I mean just look at arroyo which is supposed to be in northern california and there's quite a bit of fo3 and fo4 that might as well be a desert, lol.

This is probably an unpopular opinion, but with Obsidian making fallout again I’ve been seeing this take a lot that Fallout should return to the muted pallet of the old games, which I think is ridiculous, even if you don’t like the atompunk style, which is fair, the idea- 1/3

@LambdaGen Is there any reason why everybody is in such disbelief about this? Valve is really inconsistent about what gets on Steam and them accidentally killing a project by just ghosting the devs sounds comically Valve-like. Surprise surprise: Valve isn’t perfect and can be lazy as shit.

TF2 as a whole shows how shooting based around burst damage instead of automatic can be superior game design
