If anything this just tells you the major issues/flaws with expected statistics. You need many other data points to draw any conclusions about anything. Pretty worthless presenting this alone #Yankees

@mscoppa It annoys me that Rushing feels like the type of guy who would fit right into that Red Sox clubhouse. And he also happens to fit a positional need.
If the Dodgers are going after relievers, though, I'd expect them to prefer adding a right-handed option

while whether they are YTD getting elite pitching performances or have elite starting pitching can be debated..it clearly is an identity.

It’s just bad content. I don’t think there’s a nicer way to say it than that. The Yankees are 11 games over .500 in May and they’re talking about the team like they are some deeply flawed bottom feeders. The Yankees’ identity is elite starting pitching with power up and down the lineup. It’s extremely obvious to anyone who isn’t watching the team trying to figure out the best way to say something bad about them.

@YankeesFiles Interesting where the one reply refers to the stadium dimensions as the sole reason behind it all. What they don’t realize is that the stadium crew actually has a machine that brings those fences further in after the Yankees obtain count leverage…

Why's the Yankees offence so elite? They don't swing at balls. They chase less than any team in baseball. They're at the top of the league in walks and home runs. The most efficient way to score runs.

The Yankees need to figure out the bullpen between now and the playoffs.
They tried filling it with a bunch of guys who have nasty stuff but haven’t yet produced consistent results at the MLB level. It’s not working well enough to consistently get hitters out.
They don’t need to overhaul the bullpen. But they’re two legitimate arms short of having a bullpen that can successfully navigate through the playoffs.
Hoping Reyzelman and LaGrange can be options later this season. But the trade deadline is going to be really important also.
