Turned 23 years old today. And took some time to reflect. Even though I might be young, 7 years in entrepreneurship have taught me a lot. I grew up with a single mom on welfare. There was no money for after-school activities. No sports. No vacation. No PlayStation like my friends. It made me feel like a outlier. Why can’t I just be like the other kids? I hated watching my mom struggle. It lit a fire in me. It has forced me to think in solutions. So I built my own PC with cheap parts. With the limited resources available, I tried to make the best out of it. And before I knew it, I got paid to do the same for others. This is when I started to learn about the concept of money. Money is the equivelent of the percieved value of the problems you solve. And I wanted to solve big ones. It has made me obssessed with solving problems in the most creative ways. I started to implement it in marketing and selling sticker products online. And before I realized, I moved into my dream penthouse at 18 years old. From being broke, to doing €2M in revenue from my laptop, travelling the world. I felt undefeatable. Until it all started crashing down. Payment processors froze my money. Chargebacks piled up. Products failed. Suddenly I couldn’t pay rent. $40k in debt. Back to living with my mom. I had to let people go and make tough decisions. But was able to prevent bankrupcy, and rebuild everything from scratch. Steve Jobs once said: “You can't connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards.” “…You have to trust in something - your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever.” And this quote has been stuck on repeat in my head for the last couple of weeks. All of this led me here. It was much needed. I’m grateful to utilize my skillsets to serve a greater good. To serve freedom. Driven by the limitations I was forced to face in my life and businesses, I am building towards the next big adoption of financial decentralization. Bootstrapped, lean & self-sustainable.
