It is absolutely ridiculous that they let them block traffic and pretty much stop the rest of us from being law abiding and getting on with our day when they stand on the freeway! Trooper Johnson, I have a question: why does the state patrol routinely enforce and prosecute car pool laws, but then also ignore protestors who block the freeways for hours on end? Arguably, protestors blocking traffic is an order of magnitude (if not many orders of magnitude) more dangerous and more illegal, than somebody driving in the left lane with no extra occupants. The selective enforcement of laws undermines public faith and trust in law enforcement, when law enforcement is co-opted to support dangerous and radical left wing ideologies. It’s safe to omit right wing ideologies from this conversation because, you know, it’s WA. And it’s not just traffic, or the state patrol, just a couple years ago, Capitol Hill temporarily had a war lord and the cops just abandoned the east precinct. I know it’s the governor and not the cops making these calls, but there are hundreds of thousands of people just like me, if not millions, who just don’t give a f**k any more about our laws. ALL Laws either matter or they just don’t. And WA has in so many ways, shown that laws just don’t matter. Why bother with the speed limit, when you can just stand in the road with some stupid sign whining without a permit or any safety equipment or signage? Why bother stating out of the carpool lane in your car when you can just stand in it without consequence? Why bother coming to a complete stop at a stop signs or traffic lights when stupid protestors are playing chicken with cars at freeway speeds? Why bother using your vehicles signals to let others know your intentions, when you let people just go out and block traffic without any consequences whatsoever? And those token arrests that were made, on that one event with basically no charges pursued. Please don’t argue that point. Real answer please, with as honest an opinion you can muster. Answer well, and truthfully, and some of us might willing resume a good law abiding posture…. Bullshit us, and deepen the divide…
