On Friday we turned our @Amplify Science notebooks into an intense game of capture the flag. Students worked in teams to answer chunks of questions. If they were correct they could capture another team’s flag. 🏳️ #engagement

Today we used the Kagan Structure Showdown to review for science. Students loved leading their table’s discussion as the captain!

Exciting day watching metamorphosis in real time! Our tadpoles are at various stages: legless, hind legs with a tail, front & hind legs with a tail, and fully developed young frogs. 🐸

This week we are working on a breaking news report using @canva to inform the citizens of Galetown why their most recent storm had the most severe rainfall!

Vocabulary musical chairs is such a fun way to brain dump and review before a test! Students sit when the music stops and write/draw anything they know about the vocabulary word!🎶 This gets them up and moving and holds all students accountable for their learning!🎵

Students ended their first science unit by collaboratively filling out an @Amplify reasoning tool, using the carousel feedback strategy to provide feedback to other groups, and finally writing an argument to answer the unit question!

We loved partnering with @GraceLearning’s class to harvest sweet potatoes on Friday! 💚🪴 Look for the Green Paws flyer we will be sending home next week if your student is interested in exciting opportunities like this! 🐆🐾
