@mslfilms completely unbiased :) Although, to most people on the ground, I actually think if they had to pick between the two, Orthodoxy would be the common unity point vs language.

Some stats: 98% of Georgians are proud of being Georgian citizens. 94% believe foreign workers must learn the language. 92% believe citizens must know the language. 50% believe all citizens should be Orthodox. 30% believe only ethnic Georgians should be citizens.

The reason why I'm at a crossroad with choosing between Catholicism and Orthodoxy comes down to this: Which side has the better historical connection to the Church Jesus founded in 33 AD? Which side is objectively closer to the early followers of Christ and what they believed.

@MartelMaccabeus @ReaderJustus @chionerin I’m close with 4 parishes in New York, one has tripled in size, one has doubled, and the other two can’t fit the amount of people that are attending in their parish buildings anymore, that’s over just the last year.

@ReaderJustus @chionerin Our parish of around 175-200 has 50 catechumens, 30 of whom will be received in the weeks leading up to Pascha (they are being spread out for logistical reasons).
