I think AI is quickly moving from cloud-first to local-first.
Local is private and has no latency. When it’s fast, no reason to use the cloud
Currently, it requires the best hardware (like a Mac Studio with 512 GB of RAM), but it’ll likely change very soon.

I just learned about him (head of UI design at Apple) and want to learn more / follow.
Only found some posts from people who've worked with him saying he’s a legend.

@tiptap_editor Thanks Tiptap. However, it seems that Notion Mail is using tiptap editor and somehow they do have an editable node with a fully quoted html.
Can you explain how they did this?

@msmialko Tiptap can’t take any HTML, it’s schema-based. Your HTML needs to match the schema before it becomes editable. Check these:

It's time for a new adventure. I'm gonna build a new Email client - fully native, MacOS only app.
Apple Mail is the best email app for Mac - native, simple, well integrated with the system.
But it's also hasn't changed in a decade. Its potential was never fulfilled. Sorry @Apple, but it's just not good enough anymore.
