@OneFootball Cristiano has 921 goals over his most recent 1,106 matches - dating back only to the start of the 2006-2007 season. This seems like a more fair comparison since he started out his career as a midfilder, not a forward like Messi did.

Well Mr. Wright how shall I begin...
Beyond championship counts, Michael Jordan’s case as the superior player often rests on his unmatched scoring peak, elite perimeter defense, and efficiency in ball handling.
Scoring Dominance:
Jordan is the NBA's career leader in points per game (30.1 PPG) and holds a record 10 scoring titles, while LeBron James has only one. His playoff scoring average of 33.4 PPG remains the highest in history.
Defensive Accolades:
Jordan won the NBA Defensive Player of the Year (DPOY) award in 1988, an honor LeBron has never achieved. He also earned nine All-Defensive First Team selections compared to LeBron’s five.
Ball Security & Free Throws:
Despite having a high offensive usage rate, Jordan was more careful with the ball, averaging fewer turnovers per game (2.7) than LeBron (3.5). He was also a significantly better free throw shooter, with a career average of 83.5% compared to LeBron's ~73.5%.
Two-Way Performance:
Jordan is the only player to lead the league in scoring and win DPOY in the same season. He also led the league in steals three times, whereas LeBron has never held a steals title.
Advanced Analytics:
Jordan holds the highest career Player Efficiency Rating (PER) at 27.9 (vs. LeBron’s 27.1) and the highest Box Plus/Minus in NBA history.
Slam Dunk Contest Legacy:
Jordan used the Slam Dunk Contest to solidify his "Air Jordan" persona and save the event's cultural relevance.
The Free-Throw Line Dunk: Jordan’s 1988 victory—specifically his flight from the free-throw line—is considered the most iconic moment in All-Star history. Back-to-Back Titles- Jordan won consecutive dunk contests (1987, 1988). LeBron, despite his elite athleticism, chose never to compete in the event, leaving a gap in his highlight reel that Jordan filled with legendary imagery.
Collegiate Pedigree:
While LeBron James entered the league as a polished 18-year-old, Jordan established a legendary foundation at the University of North Carolina (1981–1984). National Championship- As a freshman in 1982, Jordan hit the game-winning shot against Georgetown to secure the NCAA title—a major achievement LeBron never had the chance to pursue. (Individual Honors) Before turning pro, Jordan was already the consensus National Player of the Year (1984), a two-time All-American, and the top male athlete in ACC history.
Global Cultural Architect:
Jordan didn't just play in the NBA; he built the modern business model for the global superstar.
The Jordan Brand (a division of Nike) is a multi-billion dollar phenomenon that dwarfs all other athlete lines. In 2013 alone, Jordan's brand did $2.25 billion in sales, nearly eight times LeBron’s $300 million that same year.
Global Expansion: Jordan was the primary catalyst for the NBA's international explosion in the 1990s. His 1992 "Dream Team" performance in Barcelona transformed basketball from an American pastime into a global language.
Pop Culture Icon:
Through projects like Space Jam and his iconic commercials (Gatorade, McDonald's), Jordan became a household name even to those who never watched sports. Even in the farthest smallest parts of the world, people know Michael Jordan as much as they know Coca-Cola. Hopefully I explained it well enough for you.
See I didn't even mention...

@RussL81717830 @MattVerderame Willing to entertain a conversation if you throw at least Favre, Luck, Warner in there... maybe even Allen and Jackson
English

@MattVerderame Modern era QB … Brady, Elway, Marino, Montana, Mahomes, Manning, Young, Rogers, Brees and conversation can be had for Stafford at 10
English

Brady, Montana, Mahomes, Manning, Unitas, Baugh, Luckman, Graham, Marino, Elway, Rodgers, Staubach, Bradshaw, Young and Brees are all inarguably better.
That doesn’t include Aikman, Starr, Tittle, Fouts, Jurgensen, Warner, Moon, Kelly, Favre and Stabler, who are arguable but certainly a conversation with Stafford.
That’s 25 guys. He’s not in the top 10

English

@grok @AmeAloMex Qué porcentaje convirtieron Aaron Rodgers y Joe Montana?

@RonaldGagneJr @kurt13warner @JayDoubleyouBee There's no more "surviving the ground"; it's maintain control after initial ground contact. It seems he does since he has the ball tucked when rolling over, so artbitrary! If no DB, WR doesn't lose it. Such a specific set of circumstances on this play! I love football man!
English

@msrtec @kurt13warner @JayDoubleyouBee Right... but you can't be down by contact if you aren't a runner.
So knee down doesn't matter... defender contact doesnt matter. 2 hands doesnt matter because if he's not converted to a runner he needs to survive the ground.
English

So I feel I have a pretty good handle on rule, but maybe I don’t & want to fully understand it, so answer these two scenarios:
1) Same exact scenario with Cooks (no McMillian in sight) - he catches hits ground with possession, as he’s rolling over loses ball - is this catch or no catch?
2) A WR dives for a ball - catches ball but defender has hand in the play, WR hits the ground with ball & defenders arm that’s in play knocks ball out a tick after WR hits ground - catch or no catch?
Michael F. Florio@MichaelFFlorio
Should out to the Network and @gmfb for allowing this I’m moving on after this, but the NFL Films angle literally shows the ball still tucked after they roll. You can see the moment McMillan tugs, Cooks arms then extend and he loses the ball. He had it through the ground
English

@RonaldGagneJr @kurt13warner @JayDoubleyouBee WRs don't always establish as rnrs when making a catch. Even if 1/4 sec, he cght the ball with 2 hnds, tucked it in, got to the ground knee & hip, rolled over, and THEN the DB made a play. WR did not lose the ball to the ground, but to the DB. Control + down + fb move = catch 2/2
English

@msrtec @kurt13warner @JayDoubleyouBee There was literally less than a quarter of a second of possession for cooks. By this logic any player that has the ball and smacks the ground is a catch even if they drop it.
English
