@ArielAppears No the riots are pretty much down to increasing inequality and declining living standards. The ‘radical’ right just focus on easy targets because, at least last time I checked, they don’t have any credible economic policies.

I just received a 10 minute lecture by my taxi driver about how the country has become "too woke" and that's the cause of the riots.
Do you really think 'wokeness' is the reason hotels are being burnt out and shops looted? Last time I checked, that's almost the exact opposite🙃

The EU hasn't even yet had the decency to rollback the blight that is cookie banners. Despite a decade's worth of evidence that they do nothing but create busywork and annoy users with zero progress in actual privacy. Don't hold your breath for the AI bill to be unwound.

Incredible. Only NOW that Europe's AI Act is coming into force is its author realizing it: - Probably goes too far; - Discourages European companies from investing in AI; and - Entrenches Big Tech's position (like most regulation) 🤦♂️
