I’m referring to your overall assessment. I’ve followed this guy for quite a while. He is, by all accounts, more of a classical liberal/blue dog democrat thus the switch to Republican Party a few years ago. Less of an opportunist, more of an independent. With all the hyperbolic rhetoric being thrown around on both sides of this argument, Kent’s resignation is, to me, of great concern.

Joe Kent was registered as a Democrat until 2021. Kent was affiliated with the Libertarian Party from 2012 to 2019, then switched to the Democratic Party in 2019. He remained a Democrat through 2020 (including voting for Bernie Sanders in the Democratic primary that year. He switched to the Republican Party in 2021. He began running for Congress in Washington's 3rd District as a Republican starting around that time. Joe Kent is an opportunist. I could possibly appreciate his opinion, and respectfully disagree with it, if he had integrity and the ability to stay consistent. But it appears that Kent is nothing more than a windsock.
