The consistency of our position is this. Shut the gates. Get immigration under control Fix our country. This journey since Aug 31st has been a constant learning curve. Understanding what an Australian is has become critical. This is an Australian moment for us to work out what we are. Clearly we are being replaced by a government that despises us.

Don't know if Rukshit is talking about me, but I assume he's talking about Chal. What's the point of a debate aside from trying to change the mind of your opponent and the audience? We went head to head over the discussion. I went in with facts and ideological consistency, Chal went in with a rough feeling of what an Australian is, and his position started to show cracks. Now it seems that all this advocacy from myself and countless others is actually getting somewhere because it seems Australians are starting to realise what an Australian actually is, which certainly doesn't include this little Sri Lankan. There's no turning this around, Rukshan. Hopefully by the end of it all you'll be deported and geoblocked from our internet.

He was saying that but the point of this post is that Rukshan is trying to make the case that changing your mind shows that you're incapable of rational thought whereas I'm saying the entire point of what we're trying to do is to change minds, which was the whole point of the debate. There's no turning back once you accept the history of White Australia, but Rukshan is trying to make it out as if there's bound to be more flip-flopping despite most civnats positions being dependent on a lack of accurate information regarding our country's history.

I actually love this from @shallowchal and I echo his thoughts. The people that have shafted me in my lifetime, to the point that wanted to destroy my life, not once but twice, were white anglo Australians. To put that into context I've had many wonderful white Anglo friends far outnumbering the bad ones. But Scott's point about honesty, integrity and having a person in your life that you can lean in difficult times is bang on the money. That is contingent on skin colour nor DNA. To preserve our Aussie culture though we need to maintain that Anglo-celtic base that built this country. That's a whole other messy debate.

Yes, please don't include me in your obsessive conspiratorial anti-Jewish, anti-immigrant ethnonationalist "noticed" hate fest. On COVID, we weren't putting Australians into categories to judge their worth or treating people differently. That's the Australia I believe in and fight for. Everyone regardless of their background went through that together, and I'll never abandon those people because times are tough. We are equal and fight for our country regardless of someone's immigrant history or skin colour together. You can justify to yourself however you want how noble your cause is. I wish you luck. ✌️

The white Australia lobby has been pushing ethnonationalism and the mantra of racial purity while openly dehumanising non-white people for the past few months. These same people then act mystified when conservatives on the right with migrant heritage push back against their rhetoric and views. The next two years in Australia are going to be particularly unpleasant on topics of immigration and race, so if you’re going to engage in these debates, expect to hear differing views that might offend you.

Ummmmm, Sam completed his 5-6 years of military service in 2014. Avi first hit public prominence in 2016 …so where was Sam? Sam didn’t get any public notoriety on the political scene until 2023 / 2024. Avi was renowned for almost single-handedly exposing the Dan Andrews government on numerous fronts back then, and Avi was one of the FIRST people to highlight Melbourne’s African / Sudanese gang problem. And you also forget Avi completing three years of Mandatory Military Service with the IDF between 2005-2008, where he was a marksman with the Golani brigade on the Gaza border. And before you start, over 60 countries have mandatory military service, compulsory for dual citizens in whatever countries they’re in. FACTS trump opinions 😎

I have young children and all I want for them is to grow up in the Australia I did. An Australia where it's safe to walk the streets at night. An Australia where people help each other out and catch up for a BBQ and a beer. Is that too much to ask

I love going for a walk at night to clear my head. I'm lucky I still live in an area where the true Aussie spirit is alive and well. A suburb where people say hi, stop for a chat and help each other out. I almost forget what is happening to our country.

They are the exact opposite of what I experience where I live. They don't acknowledge you when you say hi, they walk in the middle of the road not caring when people are driving by. They don't want to help out if needed. We need to stand up and defend this country
