If you follow me, you know I have been on some of the highest mountains on Earth, swam in the deep sea, and walked in deserts. And one thing I can tell you is that your body and mind react differently when you change habitats. What can we learn from this? If you are experiencing poverty and lack in a certain environment, the problem may not be you. It may just be your body and mind reacting negatively to that ecosystem. Consider moving from that surrounding. A change of location often alters your situation. Christ did not manifest as the Messiah until he left Nazareth. Abram did not become Abraham until he relocated from Haran. Moses had to flee Egypt to become the Law Giver. There are elemental forces in each locality, and your energy may or may not resonate well with the forces at play; that is why you may need to stray in order to receive some pay!

A First Class Graduate Working As a Waiter Represents the Dignity of Labour And Isn't A Shameful Thing
Please fact-check me: According to research published by The Economist Magazine, 16% of all waiters working at American restaurants, representing 317,000 people, have university degrees. Another 80,000 American bartenders also hold university degrees.
That does not mean that the American economy is collapsing. The United States is still the largest economy on Earth and the most affluent nation on the planet.
When I took this photo in 2002, I was working at a bar in England while studying for my Master of Laws. The job helped me pay my school fees, and I had multiple colleagues in the same category as me. Some of my classmates worked at McDonald's, and these were not undergraduates. These were British and Commonwealth students studying for a Master's.
That a First Class graduate works as a waiter at a restaurant is an expression of dignity in labour. It is not peculiar to Nigeria.
Working as a waiter is an excellent opportunity to gain business experience and develop customer service skills. Jeff Bezos began his career as a cook at McDonald's.
Nigeria has just been recognised by the International Monetary Fund as one of the fastest-growing economies on Earth, with our Gross Domestic Product expected to surge by 4.1% this year alone.
And last year, the IMF recognised our nation as the sixth-largest contributor to global GDP growth in 2025, a fact Elon Musk, the world's richest man, also celebrated.
That being the case, I call upon all Nigerians to do their best to sustain this growth trajectory, rather than attempt to damage it by de-marketing our beloved country on local and global stages.
May God bless Nigeria.

Until you cure yourself of the desire to be liked, you will not succeed in life. Because you will constantly please everyone in order to make them like you, and you will end up displeasing yourself. And the thing about human nature is that it is almost impossible to please everyone at the same time. And why should you even do that? Your aim should be to be respected. Even if people dislike you, as long as they respect you, you are fine!

I want to use this medium to personally apologize to the Vice-President of Nigeria, His Excellency Sir Kashim Shettima for my old post referring to his person as spineless. He is someone I greatly admire & respect.
It was a reckless tweet. @KashimSM.

I am pleased to see the launch of the digital registration platform of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), a timely step in deepening internal democracy and strengthening citizen participation.
Democracy must evolve with the times. In this digital age, transparency, accessibility, and inclusion are not luxuries; they are necessities.
A credible political movement is built not just on rhetoric, but on systems, systems that are open, accountable, and easy for citizens to engage with.
This platform provides an opportunity for Nigerians, especially our young people, to move from spectators to stakeholders. It is a reminder that political participation does not begin and end on election day. It begins with registration, with engagement, with responsibility.
I encourage those who believe in a better, fairer, and more productive Nigeria to take that step. Register. Participate. Contribute. Nation-building is not a one-man task; it is a collective duty.
Let us continue to strengthen the structures that will strengthen our democracy.

This morning, I was in Gwarinpa with other leaders of our party, the African Democratic Congress (ADC), including my brother, H.E. Peter Obi, ahead of the Saturday, February 21 FCT Council elections.
We have been speaking with voters about why this election is important and why ADC candidates should be the right choice.
This election is very important. It will say a lot about how ready the managers of our elections are to deliver free, fair and credible polls. It will also say a lot about how ready people are to chase the APC out.
I have encouraged voters to come out in large numbers to vote for ADC candidates across all FCT Councils in the elections.
Our party has fielded candidates with competence, capacity and character to offer quality leadership across local councils in Abuja.
Voters have the responsibility to defy all forms of intimidation and make the right choice.
The APC-led Federal Government under Bola Tinubu has failed citizens on many fronts. It has failed to fix the economy. It has failed to fix our education. It has failed to keep our country safe. It has pushed the citizens of a rich nation into deeper poverty. It has allowed criminal elements to hold citizens to ransom.
APC must be voted out in the coming elections, and we should start with the FCT elections! -AA
