i don't understand why more vibe coder indie hacker $10k/mo aspirers aren't building ai chat / roleplay / companion apps imo easiest path with very little effort required for ua - paid ads work incredibly well as long as you have a quality funnel + monetization

@signulll sold for $1B. That's the only metric that matters.

1) fast beats right 99% of the time because you don’t actually know what’s “right” until you get users so you want to get users and start getting feedback as quickly as possible; 2) at first you can’t so instead focus on finding “misfits” — the European C coder doing web design because was only company that’d sponsor H1B, the disillusioned Ph.D. student, the developer who took two years off work to raise a newborn and struggles to get back in (these were literally the profiles of three of the first Cloudflare technical hires); and 3) leaders are decisive — again, speed almost always is the biggest competitive advantage; very few decisions are “one-way doors,” meaning most can be walked back if they turn out to be wrong; one of the biggest parts of my job even today is convincing our team it’s better to be right 80% of the time than 100% of the time — a huge amount of cycles get wasted trying to get to 100% certain when for the vast majority of decisions 80% is as good and takes orders of magnitude less time.

Wheels down In SF, hunting for the biggest juiciest ad inventory I have a ravenous collection of thousands of users. How can I shovel money and ads at them as fast as possible? The upcoming opt-in targeting is going to be WILDLY profitable for users I don't need capital, the stripe balance broke 6 figures the first day. I have a day job 😂 Me and the boys (clankers) are going on a generational run

Who here has actually shipped a full iOS or Android app with @vibecodeapp_ , @rork or @emergentlabs and gained users? I'd love to interview you for an amazon gift card.

I barely ever open linear anymore. My agent(s) take up all the work of managing tickets. The next linear will be a schema-enforcing shared DB with a collab layer. Someone build this on cloudflare and save us all a bunch of money.
