I built my first plane in the basement of my house age 12. My father only found out when I asked him to buy me a different carburetor cause the one I had would stall. I never saw my father “fly” down the basement stairs so fast. It was a canvas plane. I even built a mock wind tunnel to check the lift on the plane using fans and string. Anyway, it was moved to the school I think to keep me from flying it. Yes the CLASS won Best Science Fair Project. But I never got to fly my plane.
