@nqatpod Well we where equal on points with 5th when Amorim was sacked so Carrick did not exactly take over a team in 15th. He kind of ground out results often against the run of play, well done to Carrick but what AI has done at Bmouth is incredible, while playing fun, exciting fotball.

No Question About That
Is Iraola’s achievement really better than Carrick’s? United finished 15th last season and ended up firing a manager who engineered his own departure in public. Mid season. Carrick had to steady the ship, with an entirely new coaching staff, with pundits being as negative as it’s possible to be, get players on board and started his time with games against 1st and 2nd in the league. He’s gone on to win 11 of his 16 games. That’s a fucking remarkable achievement. Who knows where Carrick’s ceiling is. Or Iraola’s. But let’s not downplay what’s happened.

I’m absolutely desperate for Carrick to be the one to take Man United back to where they belong…. but Andoni Iraola, wow. Looks like he has all the makings of a special manager. I really hope we don’t look at missing out on him the same way we did Klopp and Pep, 10 years later.

Michael Carrick has lost 2 matches from 16 since arriving, there was no choice but to hire him

You do realise that if we won these three games under Amorim during Christmas we would be a couple of points of 80 pts this season right? It’s also why I caveat it with INEOS getting the recruitment right so we can compete in 4 competitions

@Emanxamilius_ Oh come on have some damn realism please!!! Get top 4 should be the aim with a few good cup runs and QF of the CL. You want him to have the best points tally for any coach post Sir Alex in year one??? Just sack him then and sack the next guy too!! 💀💀😭😭😭

@realsavanti Literally equal on points with 5th when Amorim was sacked…. We have four different managers now return 3rd or 2nd across Morinho, Ole, ETH and now Carrick. All with the same “low block, grind out wins” playing style. But lets ignore that now for another cycle of the same…

Nobody gave United a top five finish before Carrick. Nobody. The club had no identity, no momentum, no floor. He built one quietly, without new players, without theatrics. Now people are contextualising it away. That tells you more about those people than it does about Carrick.

@dharnishiqbal You make everything about Amorim. Carrick is doing the exact same job as Morinho, Ole and ETH have done in the past. Low block and grind out wins will get found out in due time and the cycle will be repeated.

I still don't have a clue as to why Amorim had so many backers despite evidence that he wasn't fit for the job for such a long time and then on the other hand, there's evidence that Carrick deserves the job and he has more doubters.

@PaddyKeoghAF I think people are concerned with his style of play as we 100% will struggle a lot next season playing this way including CL and cup games. People say he will change but we have no evidence for how that looks like.

@LSeffz Almost point per game average for the next 18 games after he was made perm + left the team in 8th in terrible state. We where terrible in all metrics when he and Carrick left.

So much discourse over Carrick tactics. Does nobody remember the Ole interim run. It was so quickly scrapped together to try and save our season but unravelled towards the end. The next 2 full seasons we improved year on year and became one of the best coached teams in the league

I can obviously see why the goal was disallowed. I personally don’t think it was enough to disallow the goal but I can understand the decision. The only thing is we’ve seen that a million times this season & nothing has been given. Inconsistency is the only real issue here.

@mufclords @themagic_tophat @OliviaBuzaglo U really don’t help your case by using screenshots. Raya was the first to get to the ball here, and besides Chelsea literally scored straight after this

@OliviaBuzaglo You’ve seen it a million times this season? Go on then, show us one. Don’t need to see it a million times. Just one time where a keepers arm was held and his shirt pulled as he was about to claim a cross and the goal wasn’t disallowed.

@dharnishiqbal Because of all the red flags with Carrick? Why does he not play youth? Why keeps he playing Martinez over Heaven? Why do we keep getting outplayed by all teams that are not in the top 6?

Not too much to take away from that game bar things we didn't already know: 1) Casemiro will be tough to replace 2) There are some players that come into the team and look rusty because they don't play that often But, I don't know why people are so fuming, it was a dead rubber

in the past 60 days, my agency has grown 33% from just LinkedIn. i only made 1 change to my content strategy: for more context - - i'm up well over 600% on my LinkedIn impressions - 7 inbound leads have booked calls (vs 1 the month before) - i've been charging 2x what i was (more authority now) - i've had 4 people reach out for coaching. the 1 change i made: lead magnets. not just some slop though. WORLD CLASS lead magnets + a backend system that makes them my most potent & profitable lead gen channel. standalone thought leadership is completely out now. this is the ONE form of organic content on LinkedIn that is predictably and consistently pulling in 10k-100k impressions per post... AND driving inbound/outbound leads. now i want to share the secrets on how to execute these properly. so i put together a resource with: 1. A 9-chapter notion doc explaining how I’ve generated 10,000,000+ impressions & 7-figures in pipeline w/ lead mags 2. A 15 min Loom video of me explaining the entire strategy 3. A document with 9 viral lead magnet ideas (that I used & are already vetted) 4. An entire swipe file of lead magnets for every kind of B2B agency 5. 5 claude prompts I use to 10x the speed of production (while maintaining quality) i'm giving it away free for the next 48 hours. comment: "MAG" and i'll personally DM it to you. (must be following)
