An all-female "Expendables" is gonna flop.
The only way a film like this could succeed is if it went over the top with fan service. All the women are hot, early 20-year-olds who have all been genetically engineered to be badasses, with a lot of high-angle and low-angle camera shots to focus on the thighs and cleavage.
Imagine... the year is 2045.
A Russian KGB military genetic enhancement program produced a rogue agent who wants to destroy the world.
Then comes the "expendabellas" a secret pentagon-DARPA cloning program that produced the sexiest and most powerful human warriors... complete with inhuman strength and resiliency.
The action contains jiggles in strategic places as they fire their oversized machine guns. An asian samurai girl with a nano titanium katana cutting through steel like butter, a big American girl carrying a 20mm cannon like it's nothing, punching through armored vehicles with no problem... Or a tough Latina lady running with inhuman speed, body checking a car... slomo body shots with recoil from the cannons jiggling everything hot.
It needs to be a spectacle that would make very feminist cry.
.... but yeah, they won't do that.
It will be just as lame as the 2016 Female Ghostbusters or that 2019 Charlie's Angels remake that no one watched.
